Praise be to Allah, the event ended successfully, the attendance, the food, the lectures were all very impressive. More 200 people came, the maximum expected number. Praise be to Allah, 3rd Annual Interactive Academic Contests Finale Ended Successfully. More than 200 hundred youth came and participated a joyful event. Three finale high schools competed for this year's cup and first place. Inspirational speeches were given and Sh. Abdirahman Sharif gave thoughtful insights to the students, parents, teachers and other guests who came. Congratulations and good job to all three finales (Ubah Medical Academy, VOA Opportunity High School & Roosevelt High School. Ubah Medical Academy won the cup for this year and made the first place the year long interactive academic contest, VOA Opportunity second place while Roosevelt, which took last year's cup made the third place this year.

It was a night and morning of memory for so many of us, here in the Twin Cities. On Thursday night, December 23, 2010, Prof. Tariq Ramadan gave a historic speech to a wide, diverse, overcrowded audience from aspects of religion, social, diversity, civilization, history, future… Inspiring Universal Message for everyone, no matter which class of education, economy, race or religion one belongs to. Event Update: The Council of Imams from different mosques in Minnesota have agreed upon that Friday October 12th, 2007 will be the first day of Shuwal. We wish a pleasant Eid Mubarak to all of you wherever you may be, Kulu 'Amin wantum bikheyr. Eid Al-Fitr is one of the major Islamic Holiday remarking the end of Ramadan.
Eid prayers were held at the mosque and Bryan Coyle Community Center in Mpls, MN.

Event Update: A night most likely to be Layl Al-Qadr(Night of Power) as agreed various scholars. It is a night that is equivalent to good deeds that are better than 83 years and 4 months. Thus, we invite the community members, especially the youth, to congregate at the mosque for the entire night and engage in a spiritual awakening journey. Many sheikhs have participated in this event, lecturing us about the day of the judgment. Sh. Abdirahman Sharif, Prof. Abdulwahid Sh. Osman, and others were amonsgst the lecturers.

Event Update: The main concern of the event was to showcase the importance of health education, prevention of diseases, and the connection between Islam and health. A doctor, public health, pharmacist, and the imam of the mosque partook of this event with titles such as The Significance of Drug Use and Abuse, Islam and Health, Diets, and Prevention of Illegitimate Sex (Zina) and much more. An estimation of 200 attendees.

Event Update: Many Muslims have come to celebrate the biggest holiday of the Muslims, Eid Al-Adha. Women, children, and men have rejoiced together at Dar Al-Hijrah. An estimation of 500~700 attended the two prayers we held at the mosque.

Event Update: The symposium was held at South High School, and scholars from in and around MN have come to speak about Family Issues & Islam and the Future of Muslims in America. Prof. Mohamed Sh. Event Update: This was the bi-monthly event for the Muslim youths in Twin Cities and its vicinities held by the Dar Al-Hijrah Youth Council to congregate at the mosque for this wonderful event. Event Update: Students of Salahudin Islamic School dedicated this event for their young brothers and sisters at Salahudin to spent time at the mosque together. Because it was Thanksgiving holiday, students did not have school; instead of spending their time somwhere else they organized this event. They demonstrated very valuable lessons through lectures, plays, poems, contests, awards, etc.

Event Update: More than 60 people whom have volunteered at Dar Al-Hijrah mosque during the Ramadan participated in this event.The Board of the Mosque recognized the efforts of these people. The event was in luncheon form where the Board gave certificates to these volunteers.

Event Update: More than 300 of Salahudin Students gathered at the Center to celebrate the festival of Eid Fitr. The students demonstrated varieties of activities such as lectures, dicussion, poetries, moral plays, entertaiment, awards and gifts to the adminstration, teachers, and students. Students invited Br. Mohamed Dini from Ohio to give a lecture about staying Muslim in the western society. The director of Center Br. Abdisalam was also the invitees speakers.

Event Update: The rally was against the Danish cartoonists who depicted the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). More than 1,000 Muslims around the Minnesota areas rallied and protested against these caricatures. The rally was sponsored and organized by Islamic centers and organizations, and many community leaders, imam, and activists gave lectures.
