What does it mean to be part of your community?  It is a something that really makes you feel that you are making a difference in the area that you live. You can become active by taking part of your mosque, Islamic organization or help your neighbors. When you are active, help and participate the activities of Islamic organization and community, you will gain a lot of experience and more knowledge. The more you involve in the activities of your Islamic organization and mosque the more you will be safe.  Get involve with your mosque and Islamic organization and help them out, they do have many things to help with their community by then you practice and understand your religion well.  Every second or minute you are in the mosque you will get reward.

Also, have connection with your neighborhood to know their needs. There are many elders who live next to you and need help. Even if you clean their yard in the summer time and blow snow in the winter time will help and make them happy.

Moreover, Allah encourages us to help others both Muslims and non-Muslims things that benefits them positively, which you also gain reward and good deeds in return.  Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said “Whoever like to be in paradise be part of (jama’aa ) group.”  Sometimes some people are unable to help for whatever reason they might have. If that is the case, please support those who are helping, and do not be one of those who just lost and criticize others for their lack of contribution. Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said,   “If you cannot help or contribute, do not bother those who are willing to help and do not underestimate of what they are doing.

“  Allah said, “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer verily, to him We will give a good life, and We shall pay them certainly a reward in proportion to the best of what they used to do”(16:97).

Both the verse and hadith are showing us how important it is for us to be part of our community. I believe being part of your community and getting involve with your Islamic organization will make a big different in your life and others as well.
