ICSA’s various programs include Mosque, Education, youth, health and counseling; take a look inside yourself and ask if your existence has affected society in a positive way. Today and every day we must work towards becoming more conscious participants in our communities; you can do your part by getting involved in one of ICSA’s many programs.

Dar Al-Hijrah Mosque- offers Islamic study classes, five daily prayers, Friday prayers, eid prayers, Ramadan nightly prayers, and many more spiritual service programs.

Weekend Schools -are currently service students of all ages. Their curriculum includes memorization of the holy Qur’an, Islamic Beliefs (Aqeedah), reading and writing Arabic, Islamic manners (Tarbiyah), Islamic history (Seerah), prophet’s way of life (Hadith), jurisprudence (Fiq), and remembrance of Allah (Thikr).

Al-Hikma School- is a private Islamic school based in ICSA’S headquarters offering high quality academic and Islamic instruction. It is a pre-school for children between 3 to 5 years of age.

ICSA Youth Council (ICSA Youth Council) – shall welcome any Muslim youth in the state of Minnesota to enhance their religion and culture, expand their educational level, strengthen between families and youth ties, and establish non-violent methods for peace, institute integrity, and work for better future. ICSAYC also holds bi-monthly events as well as weekly study circles.

Weekly Halaqa: The halaqa focuses on the youth so that they can enhance their knowledge of Islam through spiritual and intellectual enhancement. The halaqa also promotes the idea of creating dialogue and meticulous understanding between the youths and the scholars. Deep thinking about Islam and everything else in life is the core of this halaqa, so that youths become critical thinkers. In addition, the halaqa imparts the notion of mutual understanding and sharing our ideas. This should result in an environment of brother/sisterhood and understanding. These Halaqas changes from time to time and from book to book.

Current Weekly Halaqas:
Fridays: 6-8pm (Lead Yourself & and the World will Follow)
Saturdays: after maghrib (Islah Al-Mujtama’ , hadith)
Saturdays: 7pm (Itmamu Al-Wafaa fi ‘Asri Khulafa Ar-Rashideen)
Sundays: after Maghrib (Matnu Al-Ghayat Watrgheeb, Abu shuja’)
2nd & 4th Sundays: 5-7pm DYC leadership Class

Lead Yourself & the World will Follow: Meets every Friday @ Masjid Dar Al-Hijah (6-8pm): Youth Initiative: We chose the name for this pioneer initiative to be “Lead Yourself & and the World will Follow”.  With today’s world where everything is being flipped from it is original aspect, Islam and Muslims are going under major change.  Our intention in this program is for it to be a model to follow by placing everything in its original place instead of flip flopping it from its innovative site. It is an initiative in which, we will put Islamic and Scientific Education into practical skills and practices of everyday life insha-Allah, where they help nurture the social, mental and physical philosophy of person’s way of life.   Any youth who interested to safeguard him or herself, to better our community and society can participate in this program through writing, discussion and lecture. As this program consists of lectures, discussions, specific study cases; research in particular topics and of course learning from the profound Islamic and non Islamic scholars.

Bi-Monthly Event: These types of events are highly engagement for the youth. ICSA Youth Council brings different scholars, encouraging entertainments that are compatible with the religion, form group discussions to share ideas, provide rewards for youths after the occasion, etc. These events include spiritual guidance, educational workshops, awareness, etc. The aims of this program are to create a consciousness of what Islam is

Annual Interactive Academic Contests: The School year annual interactive academic contest is very comprehensive and academic. It is both Islamic and academic including geography, science, math, and social studies. The aim of this contest is to encourage young people about the importance of education, and show them the direct correlation between Islam and academics. We find these events are very effective as they are the best successful program for our youth for Islamic education, awareness, and also academics.

Dar Al-Hijrah Times -is published every month throughout the year and edited and produced by ICSA Youth Council, young aspiring students from elementary to college levels, scholars and staff of ICSA. The newspaper discusses current issues within the religion, culture, community, health, education, and opinions. The publication does not necessarily represent the views of advertisers or personal writers outside of the ICSA Times staff. Any pictorial or cartoon usages are solely for the purpose of conveying the message of the article presented. ICSA Times prohibits all aspects of denigration involving, but not limited to, race, religion, gender, age, or culture.

Leadership Program: This program is intended for youth executive committee. Since they lead and serve too many youth. In order for them to do that job the best of their ability, they have to be equipped and trained enough to carry out that task. It takes place second and fourth Sundays of every month. Leadership comes from within; it is the methodology of ICSA to develop the young leaders who can lead the society for better. These programs consist of Quran and Islamic programs, how to become an effective leader, speaker, Imam, khatib, present Islam to Muslim and non-Muslim audience.

Counseling Program: The imam provides counseling on social issues such as marriage, divorce, and conflict resolution. The imam will extensively go over with the family about their issues, and he will provide a solution that is reasonable for both parties. Divorce issues surface more often than others. In Islam, divorce is permissible; however, it is also the only thing that God made tolerable but detests, that’s why divorce in Islam is used as last resort for resolution.

Summer Program: The summer program is an annual program for youth and families. The program consists of Quran, hadith, fiqi, seerah and histories of the Prophet and early Muslim generations, fieldtrips, workshops and trainings. The program is divided into three sections; morning, afternoon, and evening.

Interfaith Relations: ICSA exchanges visits or participates in service programs with non-Muslim organizations to build bridges of understanding ICSA also regularly conducts presentation on Islam and Somali Cultures
