Praise be to Allah, the 3rd Round of Interactive Academic Contest ended successfully. Many high school competitors and their supporters came and participated a joyful event. Inspirational speeches were given and Sh. Abdisalam Adam gave thoughtful insights of Somali stories and folktales to the students, parents, teachers and other guests who came. Congratulations and good job to all of you and specially those who won and precedes to the finale on last night’s 3rd round.

The three finalists (VOA-Opportunity,  Roosevelt High and Ubah Medical Academy) will compete against each other on April 22, 2011; Awards will be given to the winners!

South High,  Hopkins High and Higher Academy did not make to the final.

The Summary of Second Round of 3rd Annual interactive Academic Contests

First group were Ubah Medical Academy and Roosevelt. Ubah Medical Academy got first whereas Roosevelt got second.

Second group were Higher Ground Academy, Hopkins and South West.  Higher Ground Academy got first, Hopkins  got second while South West  got third place.

Third group were Opportunity (VOA) and South High. Opportunity  got first place while South got second place.

Opportunity High (VOA), Higher Ground Academy, Ubah Medical Academy, South High, Roosevelt High and Hopkins High will go to the third round.

Lincoln International, Washburn High dropped on the spot. while South West finished with third place. These three schools did not make to the third around.

First group were South West, South and Hopkins. South West got first whereas South and Hopkins got same scores.

Second group were Higher Ground Academy, Washburn and Roosevelt.  Higher Ground Academy got first, Washburn got second while Roosevelt got third place.

Third group were Ubah Medical Academy, Opportunity (VOA), Lincoln International. Ubah Medical Academy got first, Opportunity (VOA) got second while Lincoln International got third place.
