The Hadiths of the Month

Everything in this life has origins and sources, where one refers to when he or she wants to prove or show evidence the existence of their particular assignment. For example, when one wants to write a paper, they are required to cite their sources. Therefore Islam has sources also. The first source of Islam is Quran, Muslim sacred book, the second is Hadeth, Prophet’s tradition, the third is ijma, scholarly consensus, and fourth is qiyas, legal analogy. Thus, the following are the hadeths of the month in Dar Al-Hijrah Times, as we write every month inshaAllah. I hope that all of us will grasp the essence of these hadeths and take them into actions and apply to our daily lives.

Hadiith # 1.

Narrated Anas (rc), the Prophet (pbuh) said, “None of you will have faith till he/she likes for his/her Muslim brother or sister what they likes for themselves.” (Bukhari)

Hadiith # 2:

Narrated Aaisha (rc), Whenever Allah’s Messenger (pbuh) paid a visit to a patient, or a patient was brought to him, he used to invoke Allah, saying, “Take away the disease, O the lord of the people! Cure him as You are the One Who cures. There is no cure but Yours, a cure that leaves no disease.” (Bukhari)
