Volunteer
Volunteerism is contributing our time, energy, intellect, and/or talents to education, religion, organizations, social and political realms, and other sensible focus to do it without expecting compensations for it.
We can put off few hours of work today with a thought to settle down and within minutes there are multiple tasks at hand we never thought of. It is the life of this earthly upbringing that human beings are in constant motions that will either benefit or detriment their lives. Volunteerism is one of those activities that can be done with organized schedule at hand and help our community become a little civilization that has an everlasting joie de vivre.
In the Islamic tradition much of the activities are volunteerism known as ‘fee sabeelilah’ (in the way of Allah).
The prophet once said be one of these following people; one who teaches, learns, one that pays for the person learning, or simply listens in the setting of a mosque.
“Help you one another in AlBirr and AtTaqwa (virtue, righteousness and piety); but do not help one another in sin and transgression. And fear Allâh. Verily, Allâh is Severe in punishment” (5:2)
